So, someone tried to break into my house the other day, smashed 2 windows, stole 2 sets of keys (Backdoor keys & garage/shed etc etc keys)

Through a little investigation (and thanks to having nosey neighbors) the Police found out exactly who did it, and what did they do? NOTHING!!

Nice to know Brit law enforcement is as good as ever

I'd say you've got a good old fashion "What the hell is wrong with this country?!" style of newspaper story there. Get out there and sell it!

Rubber is evil, I tell ya!

Yeah, and expect something worse to happen to me while going after said robber? In certain instances, that for the authorities to handle the capture of the robber.

Heh, in all honesty i'd love nothing but to wind the local force up but:

He didn't admit it to doing it
They did a quick finger print dust with no results (could have looked for fibres on the glass)
Nothing was taken as far as we can tell (aside from the sets of keys)

They know its the guy who's done it as he was knocking all the houses & saying "sorry wrong house" just to see if they were empty, that and 2 houses had been broken into by him before in the past 3 months

Last time he just smashed someones back door in & stole a small portable tv out the kitchen, Guess we were lucky as he'd tried kicking it down, but 2inch deadlocks go a long way to helping :D

Come back from school, only for my mom to call me and say that our apartment's electricity is out. How about that?
