It's pretty expensive yeah but the PSP2 is likely to be more, nothing you can do about it but not buy one until its had a price drop.

heh

after recent events im surprised Sony won't give up altogether

I mean, what company is stupid enough to use the same key for each signed app, and what same company is stupid enough to leave the keys for a separate console in that console?

Heads are rolling around Sony hq

I've now got £190 of GAME store credit, alongside £15 of reward points, not counting my normal savings.

Essentially, Ninty can charge whatever they like, I'll be getting one at midnight (if my work shifts allow)

Ninty have said it's region locked. Not surprised but still disappointed.

Sounds like a good plan.

Region locking isn't that big of a deal imo, it's not like it'll be that long before the firmware is cracked by someone anyways.

If worst came to worst you could pick up a japanese 3DS two years from now.

True, but that means buying a console and a game rather than just the game.

I guess it comes down to how much you want the inevitable Shonen Jump 3DS game :P

The Japanese launch lineup is pretty disappointing thus far though, not one game stands out as a must have. Obviously it'll be changed for the EU launch, by then I'm hoping we'll have something a little more entertaining...at least one big N title that isn't Nintendogs?

Pretty annoyed about region locking, still as long as it eventually gets cracked. Not buy 3 versions of the same console because no one can be bothered to release RPGs over here.

Summary of the European conference: "It's a 3DS! It's out on the 25th of March! There will be games for it, but we don't know which ones will be there for launch! We've fixed the friend code system! We have Yoshiro Ono! Check with your local retailer for pricing details! (Believed to be around the £220-£230 mark)"

I'm glad I switched it on in time for Ono-san. He's bonkers.
