The TV Thread
Naruto has way more filler than actual plot. Even if during the main story the filler arcs are kept to a minimum (there's really only like 3 or so) most of the story stuff ends up getting drawn out to. And then after the Sasuke Retrieval Arc they go into filler for like a few years worth of episodes.
Also the animation is crap, which is why people get laughed at when they say the Ninja Storm games are almost as good as the anime. They aren't, they're better.

I actually really liked the Pain fight. It's pretty stylish, though not very Narutoish.
Which thinking about it is kind of a plus.
Same guy did the Naruto vs Sasuke fight at the end of part 1.
Edit: It's like by over animating the fight the guy is making up for the total lack of quality animation in the rest of the series.

My in-laws have just brought all of the series of Fraiser so I've been watching that recently, so much funnier when you don't watch it in the morning.
Battlestar Galactica rocks my socks but I've finished that now
I've just started watching Madmen which is looking promising.
Although these are all TV shows I never watch them on TV, I always buy a series and watch a couple every night.
I sometimes jump on 4OD/BBCIplayer to check out some comedy such as Peep Show and Live at the Apollo.
