Still more popular than Digimon, thanks to the card game.

Digimon started out as something like Tamagotchi but you could make your digimon evolve and fight each other so it was a bit more fun then Tamagotchi.

I really can't see many reasons why people compare Digimon to Pokemon as they have little in common other then perhaps the MON in the end of the names.

Personally, I'm a Digimon Fan. I love digimon(my second favorite franchise after Sonic.) and I've always thought of it better then Pokemon for its more indepth story, cooler looking digimon and evolutions(or Digivolutions if you will).
I mean seriously, where in Pokemon do you see them evolving with their skin being ripped off?

But honestly, both shows have gone downhill and really, it's just the games that has kept Pokemon alive and living a better life then Digimon. But yeah, Digimon used to have some pretty awesome shows. Digimon Tamers(season 3) was my personal favorite but also the highpoint of the show before it fell down on its fourth season... Frontier...

Pokemon is better when it comes to games. Digimon is better when it comes to anime. Although I would like to play Prope's RPG.

Me either. It's just the concept of monsters that evolves that would have started the comparison, despite being totally different in everything else.

5th and 6th seasons were well received, though I didn't watch any of them yet.

They only Digimon series i loved was the first series and Frontier (Not the Dub versions)

Second season I hated because it pretty much ruined everything you learned in the first season, and it didn't make me care about the new children.

Third season i thought was a bit boring and felt more childish than the previous seasons but still somewhat enjoyable to watch. (Everyone around me loves it though)

I watched the first episode of Xros Wars and i just stopped....I couldnt....
Saver i heard was terrible so ill pass.
