Apparently there'll be a 3D cinema special for the 50th anniversary.

Oh, it's in the cinema? I had heard it was going to be a 3D special but my immediate reaction was "Well that's great! ...for the half a dozen people with a 3D TV"
Cinema makes it more interesting/accessible.

"3D cinema special" were the exact words I heard.
I think a company like the BBC would take into account that most of us don't have 3D TVs.
I still don't like 3D much because it gives me slight headaches.

Likewise, but its the thought that counts. Curious just how they'll work out a unique tale for the celebration. Back in time? Or in the far flung future? It could go anywhere

Oh right... I was meant to post that last week
Also, the actual 50th special will be in November. We're only getting 8 episodes so far.

8 episodes is a nice return, even though a short run. Maybe its split with a two parter in-between.

Hope so, to have just 8 episodes + a special for the 50th will be pretty poor.
#If anything it should be double the usual amount.

Christopher Eccleston won't be in the 50th special so I have officially lost interest
My local cinema actually puts all the live episodes on, which is kinda cool. Should go along some time.

That is a BRILLIANT idea. Might have to pass that idea along to the RBC Film Theatre in Dumfries...
