SEGA's new UK-basedHardlightstudio has stopped plans of a new action-adventure project for the PS Vita, for now reportsShogunGamer. The studio is spearheaded byex-Codemasterscreative director-now-studio directorChris Southall. Its studio manager,Sion Lenton is at the moment putting the project at a pause, because they are trying to decide "the best way to bring it to market"
SEGA Hardlight currently handles and markets development on digital titles (as per the company's new direction) for the handheld scene, such as iOS, Android & Windows devices.
SEGA itself has been quite on the low side on bringing any titles to the Playstation's new handheld device, with Jet Set Radio the most prominent example in the public eye so far. TheHatsune Miku line of Project Diva titles for the Vita may be considered being the Japanese equivalent. But judging by Lenton's words, SEGA may have some surprises for the Vita. We shall hopefully see.
This is quite interesting to me. Seems SEGA's still "testing the waters" with the Vita, since they hardly released anything for it, cept for the after-mentioned JSR and Diva titles.
