I can't imagine Yakuza 1&2 HD would even be that hard to do, seeing as the games are already out over here.

Ah Yakuza...so overlooked here. If Yakuza 5 does come out here...lets hope they leave everything intact. Didnt they cut out alot of stuff from 3?

Yes, but then Yakuza 4 & Dead Souls both came over with minimal cuts.
SEGA didn't think the stuff they cut would have affected the Western release, and were met with quite a bit of uproar.

Well they said they did it to cut costs, which was stupid because they're pissing off the only people that'd buy the games.

Just like Miku, there's a Facebook poll wanting fans to show support to bring the game outside of Japan. Only difference, this is by a fan, not SEGA.
Clicky here for da poll
Don't know how much support that poll has gotten since this post was made though.

All these fan polls and petitions are dumb, all they'll do in the long run is illustrate just how little support there really is.
I really think they'd be better off in the long run just adding an English text option to the Japanese version.

If SEGA Japan feels like doing that.

Which they won't so I'll just carry on suffering, just like with PSO2.
brb getting into Miku so I can add more suffering to myself.

At least with Miku you can understand what's going on if you import it and you can still enjoy it. I could import Yakuza 5 but I wouldn't be able to enjoy it as much without the story.

Understanding isn't the problem, Japan's kooky pricing structure is. It's like Activision gone wild.
