That's pretty much what I was thinking about it.Reknoc wrote:I can get behind that, but honestly that's the sort of feeling that should last for like, a minute at most. If they really were fans of the game then they should be happy that a sequel is coming out at all.

That statement made my dayReknoc wrote:I remember when RARE announced the remake of Conkers Bad Fur Day on the xbox, at first I was a little annoyed since I didn't really have any intention of getting an xbox, but then I realised how cool it was that RARE were doing anything with the game at all.
then i got an xbox and the game but it turned out to be shit but thats besides the point
I laughed after reading this.Reknoc wrote:I remember when RARE announced the remake of Conkers Bad Fur Day on the xbox, at first I was a little annoyed since I didn't really have any intention of getting an xbox, but then I realised how cool it was that RARE were doing anything with the game at all.

Unexpected, really. Being Nintendo exclusive was a shock. Not doubt I would get a Wii U someday, and this game too.

It's not different of anyone having bought Ocarina of Time 3D back then for 3DS.

Bayonetta 2 clearly shows to be a system seller, of course not for everyone. I don't see anything wrong with that, not's my problem anyway.mtwinny wrote:Look, I don't wanna shell $300 on a another system just to play a sequel. Anyone who would do that...just wow.

And I can relate to it.Reknoc wrote:I can get behind that, but honestly that's the sort of feeling that should last for like, a minute at most. If they really were fans of the game then they should be happy that a sequel is coming out at all.
Hm, y'know, I wonder who approached who about this. So for now let's assume the cancellation rumour was true:
Did Nintendo go to SEGA? Bayonetta 2 has been worked on, and Nintendo wish to do a better job at the third party thing. Getting this would be pretty big since fans yearned for it.
Did SEGA go to Nintendo? They know Bayonetta 2 was in the works, they didn't want to risk the money but knew there was a decent demand. Nintendo want more third party games, and have a system coming out slightly better than the current gen consoles that they could probably easily port to.
Also, does this show that SEGA are open to other companies publishing their games? I mean, it's not the only risky franchise they have, could they be willing to let some like Atlus or Xseed or Sony publish Yakuza games in the west?

Ah, I guess it's understandable....but I know this won't really reason with those who are REALLY losing their minds with this whole thing. They still feel as though SEGA betrayed them or something.Kaito-kun wrote:A couple of relevant Destructoid links:
