The Return of Earthworm Jim
Story: The story today is rather the same as the last game. Princess What’s-Her-Name is kidnapped once more by Psy-Crow. And now it’s up to Jim to travel all over and save her from Psy-Crow’s doom.
Getting More Diverse, Are We?
Gameplay: The game is still a platformer. But the levels are a little more diverse with different things to do. Some levels are platforming levels, one level involves bouncing puppies on a marshmallow to safety, and much more. The difficulty is still kinda there, though you can change it around in the options menu. The game is still pretty fun, but playing it on PC is kinda bleh. Keyboard controls aren’t really fun. Other than that, it’s rather the same as the last game.
The Later it Is, The Prettier it Is
Graphics: The graphics are a lot prettier and detailed than the previous game. The backgrounds are beautiful and colorful. The color scheming is so amazing. And the sprites are more animated and detailed as well. It's a better looking game overall.
Even More Diverse Than Ever
Music: The music is pretty good. There’s many different genres of songs. There’s some scat, rock music, Italian themed music, and much more. It’s a pretty good soundtrack.
Music is composed by Tommy Tallarico.
A Better Sequel?
Overall: Earthworm Jim 2 is a pretty solid sequel. It’s fun and quite challenging. The humor is there and it’s very funny. It’s wacky, weird and zany. It’s Earthworm Jim 2!

Earthworm Jim 2 is a weird game. It's Mechanically, graphically, and audibly a better game than its predecessor but it squanders all of that by being filled with gimmicky shit. There's very few pure platforming levels compared to how many gimmick levels there are (one of which repeats like 3 times) and neither of them are really that fun. Rayman Legends also had this problem.
