That the books are better than the films.

Just finished watching Batman: Under the Red hood.
Image
Thought the movie was excellent. Story mostly focuses around the bond between Batman, and Jason Todd (Second Robin) While throwing in Joker, and a new sociopathic vigilante named the Red Hood running loose on Gotham. I don't want to spoil the story but expect a few twists and turns (Nothing really new in a BM movie..)
And expect a few cameos from other characters.

This is defiantly one of the darkest Batman animated film i seen in AWHILE. Also reminds me alot of the classic animated series which is a very good thing.
Voice acting was good, even John DiMaggio (Bender from Futurama) whos now the new voice actor for The Joker replacing Mark Hamill.

This is a must see if your a fan of batman, or just enjoyed the old show(s) and animated movies. This is defiantly one of or the best one.

Just came back from the theaters. Saw Disney's Tangled.
It was actually pretty good, it looks like a Pixar film but it actually feels like the old fashion disney movies. Only have two problems with it, first was the music. The music is good but easily forgettable. (Yes this movie is a musical despite what the commercials showed)Second was the jokes, some were funny but most of them were "eh" but luckily theirs only a few. Everything else was good. Characters were amusing, the movie looks great, voice work was good.
If you enjoy Disney films go watch it, its worth it.

Saw Tron Legacy.

To my surprise it wasn't that great.
It looked great and sounded awesome but had a weak story and boring characters. Still worth watching though, might not be as awesome people think it was going to be but its still good enough to watch.

Visually the movie was stunning. Of course a major leap from the original. Everything in the movie just looked amazing from the backgrounds, fighting scenes, characters etc. Everything looked great, except one thing that kept bothering me through out the film which was young Jeff Bridges. He was completely computer generated and it was very obvious.
Music i don't need to say anything about it, its Daft Punk which means its automatically awesome. Its a mix bag of goodies though some will stand out more than others while the rest are easily forgotten. (Their cameo was funny)

Story was not captivating at all. Most of the time you know whats going to happen next which was a disappointment. (Don't want to spoil it)
Characters weren't great either. You never have an connection to any characters, its to a point that if a character dies you could care less.
Its like "This is Jeff Bridges hes a good guy! That guy over there? Hes bad. What more do you want?"

Still worth seeing though just for the kick ass scenes, visuals, and music.

(there's alot of scenes that will remind you of star wars :/ Some parts in the movie you'll be thinking of SW quotes or themes. Very funny listening to everyone in the theaters making jokes about it.)

I just watch Tangled and i've got to say I really enjoyed it!
Both of the main characters are really well scripted and the two animal 'sidekicks' are great. As rwdebara said the songs are not that great, except the song in the pub which is just brilliant. If you havnt seen a Disney movie for awhile, like myself then you must check it out. Its full of laugh's, nostalgia and some really touching moments. The ending is a bit of a blag though.
