I still don't understand that. The other two big Shonen Jump titles, Bleach and Naruto are popular, heck, I've even seen volumes of those two get into the charts. The proper charts. (Admitedly on slow weeks) Perhaps the logic is that too many people remember the 4Kids dub? Or Manga are waiting for Bleach and Naruto to end first so they've got something to fall back on.
One Piece: Strong World is definately licenced, but whether it's released onto DVD/Blu-Ray at any time soon is a completely different matter.
The 4kids dub is probably part of it but the bigger part is probably Toei. Pretty sure I read somewhere that Toei want way too much money for people to license their stuff. It's likely, when I think about it where's our Dragonball DVDs? Most of the stuff on Crunchyroll not available over here are also Toei shows.
I haven't got far enough in the manga to see any trolling. I don't think Kubo would do it to tick off the fans, any one with common sense wouldn't do that
The manga ban thing has been translated differently just about everywhere it's reported. I'm not even sure if I should care or not, if it does affect stuff like Berserk then it's kinda shitty but if it's just for the loli stuff then I'm happy.
I dunno if rating something 18+ is the death sentence for media in Japan like it seems to be for America.
Edit: Or the only change happening is incest and loli ban to under 18s which is fine.

Agreed. It's only the creepy otaku that are really up in arms. Not keen on that Ishihara bloke who pushed it through though. Homophobe and a bit of a hypocrite.
