I mean it was Sonic's 10th anniversary game and not forgetting shadow's first appearance and it was the better one from both the adventure games. Sonic Adventure has been on the Dream Cast, the GameCube, The PC, Than in Sonic PC collection. But Sonic Adventure 2 has only been on the DC and GC.
And even if Sonic Shuffle wasn't a good game, I wouldn't have minded seeing it again.
"There's too much Sonic, we need some Sonic instead!"
Why not one of the better franchises that was available on the Dreamcast? *CoughCoughJetSetRadioCoughShenmueCoughSkiesOfArcadiaCough*
Just to point out, there was a collection of SEGA AGES titles released on the PS2 a couple of years back - Not a Sonic title in sight.
If you think SEGA = Sonic and Sonic = SEGA, you are gravely mistaken and you seriously need educating on SEGA's history. This DC collection is a retail bundle of the four digitally released games, of which Sonic Adventure happens to be one of. If it was something else, then there wouldn't be a Sonic game on the collection, end of.
Biggest sonic fan wrote:Yeah but still, don't you think that SA1 is a little bit over used from the 3 Sonic Dream Cast games?
I think Sonic is over-used in general. Not just Sonic Adventure. Sonic fans seem to hail the DC games not quite as the holy grail, but still as some kind of divine relic the represents a fantastic point in the franchises' history. They're not a fantastic point in the franchises' history, they're quite the opposite. The Adventure games signified the start of the sub-par franchise we're stuck listening to the fans witter endlessly on about now, with the pointlessly elaborate plotlines and endless rainbow of horrible, horrible characters.
I find it funny that fans were so ecstatic after the release of Sonic Colours (when SEGA finally released a half decent Sonic game) after those same fans had been praising the Sonic Adventures games which were the reason the franchise had become the cesspit they had been complaining about. Why would you want another chance to see those games again? If you want to get rid of a Sonic Adventure title from a Dreamcast collection then I will support you all the way, but try to replace it with another and I will attempt to castrate you, with a hedge trimmer, especially since there are much more worthy games from the Dreamcast's back catelogue that could fill that vacant slot.
Adventure and Adventure 2 were, in places, the pinnacle of 3D Sonic games pre-Colours, but the 2D games were always better. As for Sonic Shuffle, that needs placing in front of a firing squad. It was abysmal, and nobody can ever raise a convincing argument as to why it was anything but.
However, if you'd like to try - different topic please.
