Well that's pretty dumb. It also discriminates against people who are legally resident in the UK but are not eligible to vote, e.g. because they are not an EU citizen.

It was a pretty shit system. I wanted the "Adult" pack for Medieval II: Total War, but seeing as that's now sold out I don't really give a crap.

Thing is, this is something that Dixons should've tested before they launched the website. The fact that they didn't speaks volumes. Can't see many people buying from them.

I read somewhere they were only letting 10,000 people download each pack.

It would be a set amount of download permissions, so you can still "sell out", in a sense.

It was a limited offer.

Though sometimes DD games do sell out by there not being enough activation keys set.
