Not always, sometimes it gets much better ports, or much better versions.Gonic wrote:Maybe i was being harsh when i said the PS3 gets bad exclusives, but my view still stands about it reciving shoody ports.
What's your Least favourite console generation?
Depends whether it's the lead development platform or not...EA titles (Dead Space & Mirror's Edge in particular) play a bit better on PS3.
ok, I am sick of you guys arguing over the PS3, this is exactly what happened the last thread I made. The PS3 having bad exclusives was just Gonics opinion. (and to be honest, mine too)
Also, I've heard the PS3's hard and expensive to program for, so it's not gonna get the best of ports, but it doesn't really matter to me, because most of the games don't intrest me, and the ones that do (for example, Portal or Team Fortress 2), I can just get on Steam anyway, and usually that's the better version depending on how strong your PC is, plus, there's no need to by an overpriced HDTV (which doesn't really make a differance anyway).

And none of those games except maybe Valkyria Chronicles I find to be interesting. =PRayne wrote:PS3 exclusives list
TF2 and iirc Portal are available on XBox 360, too. Though all of these console versions don't have the updates the PC version has, so TF2 on PC is way better if you want to have the updates. Dunno though if it wasn't better to play vanilla TF2 after a few of those broken and/or sucky updates some of the classes got.Cobra! wrote:and the ones that do (for example, Portal or Team Fortress 2), I can just get on Steam anyway, and usually that's the better version depending on how strong your PC is, plus, there's no need to by an overpriced HDTV (which doesn't really make a differance anyway).

Yea but you're not saying they're bad.Sherlock wrote:And none of those games except maybe Valkyria Chronicles I find to be interesting. =P
Valve games might aswell not even exist on consoles.Sherlock wrote:TF2 and iirc Portal are available on XBox 360, too. Not gonna pull a Sonic-hater and say anything is bad until I tried it. That being said, games that don't interest me at all are - to me - bad. ;PReknoc wrote:Yea but you're not saying they're bad.
Heh, well, I guess the console players actually deserve getting a taste of the awesomeness the PC offers when it comes to Valve. =PValve games might aswell not even exist on consoles.

I thought the first Left 4 Dead was fantastic on 360 o:
Aside from that, I don't really enjoy Valve's games.

Well, I see HDTVs on the Argos website for up to £2000, I'd say that's pretty expensive, although I suppose you can get the small HDTVs for an ok price, but it's not like HDTVs make a differance anyway, the only differance I've noticed is that it's a bit clearer if you put your face right at the screen, and I don't think anyone does that.Reknoc wrote:HDTVs aren't that expensive.
Never said they wern't, I'm just saying that every game of this generation that have intrested me so far is also available on Steam, so I can just get that version. (plus portal looks better that the console versions)Sherlock wrote:TF2 and iirc Portal are available on XBox 360, too.
