Played some Ocarina of Time 3D. Actually really impressed with the 3D effect on the game as whole, but I don't have it on since the framerate dips slightly and it loses it's AA. I'd rather have a smooth looking game than a 3D looking game. The graphics are gorgeous, though while not exactly pushing the 3DS to its limit it is still a vast improvement over the original game. Touch screen and extra inventory slots is brilliant.
So far I'm just on my way to Death Mountain for the first time, so not very far. But even so I'm falling in love with OoT all over again.

Yeah i'm never gonna bother with the Sonic achievements. Just too much effort for little reward.Killer French Bread wrote:The Crazy Taxi achievements have to be the easiest I've some across, hoovered them all up in an hour or so. The Sonic achievements however seem well hard. Get all the emblems? Sack that.

I've hammered and completed Yakuza 4. What an absolutely brilliant game, I can't remember the last time I dedicated 50+ hours of my life to a single title (I suspect it either had Pokemon or Metal Gear in the title). The huge mix of melodrama & countless distractions meant I was constantly hooked. If anyone (rightfully) claims SEGA no longer makes good games then Yakuza 4 is the one shred of evidence to say otherwise. I'm eagerly awaiting the next (zombie infested!) instalment.
Aside from that I've been hammering away at Sonic Sega Whateverthehell Racing, my god...I don't know what it is. On paper this game works. It plays well, there's varied environments and a lot of fanservice. In spite of all that it just isn't fun...I honestly can't put my finger on it but it feels like a huge chore to play.
Lastly I booted up the Mega CD MK II I picked up at a carboot a few days back and started Time Gal. The game is standard FMV fare and more fun due to it's anime theme. There are occasions where it presents you with a set of 3 options, all of which would logically work yet only 1 does, leaving you to die when you pick the wrong one. Frustrating.

It's the little touches in the improvements I'm loving: The new posters on walls in Kakariko for example.Reknoc wrote:Played some Ocarina of Time 3D.
