The only issue I have with it is the fact that the springs only really want to throw you in a direction you have to go, I have issue trying to fight the game when i want to take an additional spring up on the left, when it wants to throw me right.

Otherwise it's quite strong, and I hope it's a good representation.

As for "half the game", it could be good marketing strategy that every 20 days, they release another demo, so we'll get maybe Green Hill modern next, followed by Classic City Escape and then Modern City Escape.

To release the full E3 tech demo prior to Summer of Sonic, I imagine would irritate alot of the going public, who, let's face it, if it's anything like last year will spend all day queueing just to play it. Just like with Colours.
thats actually good logic, however theres alot of "leaked information" on the levels and to be honest there isnt a load of them so city escape probably wont happen IF the info is right

Maybe not, but considering it's been in a playable state in an event like E3, it's not that hard to just cut your demo down and release it in chunks, at any rate, doing that, fuels the hype machine ;)

ALSO: Speed boosts in classic, just speed up the music. YES. no silly riffs to interrupt background music <3

Dick off thousands to appease hundreds? Yea that's smart.

This doesn't build hype it just annoys people who are uncertain if they'll enjoy modern sonic gameplay.

Then wait until a modern demo is released? It's called a hype train for a reason, why release one big sodding demo, when you can have chunks over time.

If it's gonna be released in November, the hype has to be continuous, they can't JUST release one big demo and leave you be for 5 months.

Call me on it later, but I highly imagine we'll see the modern demo down the line.

They better, but then they never released a werehog demo. They probably shouldn't have bothered at all until they have a full demo for people. All this demo told me was to wait until it bombs and I can get cheap, and it will bomb because they're releasing it during the worst month with no wii version.

I'll admit releasing during November, probably not the greatest idea, what with all the mainstream FPS games released that month, but it still won't stop the hardcore fans getting their day 1 fix. :D

Anyone who chooses this over anything released during November is quite frankly insane.

And a hype train doesn't really work for a franchise of this caliber.

Reknoc wrote:The demo is out it expires in 19 days, and it's only 1 act of Classic Sonic Green Hill Zone. So judging it on being a demo it's shit, don't hide half the fucking game.

But anyway, whatever, the game right. It's good, actually it's damn good. Okay so Sonic feels a bit heavier than he should and the new graphics are a bit too busy, but gameplay wise it's pretty fantastic. This is exactly what Sonic 4 should have been. It's like Sonic Team has been trolling us with these bad Sonic games while all the time they could actually make this. Guess that's what happens when you don't get dumps to make your games.

edit: Going out now but I'll try the 360 demo later, I heard it's better with a wider field of view and no framerate problems.
Wait Rek likes a Sonic game

Nope, just been outside the sky aint falling

360 version does feel slightly better in terms of controls. Second run and I did notice the springs feel really automatic, probably means the removal of asshole springs in later levels.

It's good but I just saw the list of leaked levels, rumour or not (some of it has been confirmed) it's knocked this right down to a bomba pre-owned purchase. Sorry SEGA, all I wanted was Ice Cap Zone and Lava Reef Zone, yet you give me Sky Sanctuary? Yeah no thanks. Also like half the list is city levels and Shadow and Silver are apparently bosses?

Urgh, just... urgh.

edit: Oh yea! I just remembered, the music loop is terrible.
