I'm sorry but if you're going through an HD remake of Green Hill with Modern Sonic, I'd appreciate the visuals before barreling full speed through it.Biggest sonic fan wrote:well... I don't know, I seemed to enjoy the parts where you were in full speed and had to do the drifting and quickstep and all...

Hey, in defense of BSF, I quite enjoyed those parts too. The sense of speed is amazing. I was on the edge of my seat, eyes glued to the screen.
But I also enjoyed the platforming parts. A good Sonic game is a mix of both. Now Colors is my favorite Sonic game, but there is more 2D than 3D parts. I'd prefer a better balance, but I'm not complaining.

Couldn't have said it better.RWDebara wrote:Their has to be platforming in a Sonic game. Thats what made the original sonic games great, the perfect balance between momentum and platforming. Not BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST.
If i want that ill buy a racing game.
It seems weird to me that they can't seem to emulate the physics of a game made in the 90s in today's physics heavy world. But even if they could it wouldn't matter because the "speed sections" of modern sonic don't feel like the roller coasters they used to. Just flat roads with turns or walls depending if it's sidestep or drift. So you never have to earn that sense of speed...
... fuck Sonic is basically one step away from having exp just so it has a bar it can fill.

If I wanted something that drifted around corners at a stupid speed then I'd just play F-Zero.
