Putting aside my adoration for the Rush series as well, basically what you're saying is since that's all what Dimps makes these days, then maybe Generations 3DS won't have the postive reception it might have at launch, then?

Let's talk more about the 3DS version.

Let's shall, then. If people don't want to get the game because they complain about not enough handheld series that are being represented, the screenshots looking horrendous, and "OMG DID THEY JUST MADE CLASSIC SONIC HOMING ATTACK?!?! THENIMNOTBUYING!" then just don't buy it and let the rest of us waiting for it to feel estatic about it.

Sorry, but that's how I feel about the 3DS release imo. It's like this version is being thumbed down so harshly...just like Colors DS,
it's ridiculous.

Colours DS was good, it was just to easy. Also the thing with 'hardcore' sonic fans is that they complain about a certain feature and in the end buy the game. I remember when people moaned bout homing attack in Sonic 4.

Generations 3DS does look pretty good, actually. I like how, rather than just porting over all the levels from the console version, it's got its own set.

Does mean that I'll have to own both games in order to get the full experience when it comes to the levels, but nevermind.

Yea and they were right to do so, but Sonic 4 was a mess of bad game design. It's probably for the better that Dimps are going back to what they know how to do. Doesn't really excuse the fact they're messing up half the gameplay though.

It allowed for lazy gameplay decisions like the homing attack bridges.

The bridges were good for high score runs, but yeah, you certainly didn't have to use the homing jump to get through the game. It helped, but you didn't have to double jump all the time.

The 3DS screenshots look alright; definitely better than what was seen at E3...
That reminds me, I have a feeling that the 3DS version may be the the better of the two versions based on what video game pubications might say. I mean, I adamantly vote the HD versions better(obviously), but when ever a Dimps-made Sonic game is made, it's fared better...argh...
