That's a difficult one; the characters intoduced in Street Fighter III were much more interesting than those introduced in Street Fighter IV, however, I have to pick SFIV as it was the game that really got me involved with the franchise and I don't think I would have played SFIII if I hadn't played SFIV beforehand.
