Saints Row 3, still have some activities and misc stuff to wrap up but meh.

Here are some thoughts on it.

So I've finally finished off the final final mission. Overall I think this game is amazing, there are definitely things it does a lot better than SR2 but sometimes at cost of something else. Not having to grind out respect to do missions is fantastic, but it also means you don't have to do any of the activities, which I guess the devs realised and which means that a lot of story missions are just the activities.

I also felt the game started to drag a little towards the end, probably because all the coolest stuff like the Deckers and Murderbrawl have already been shown off in trailers. The last 3 missions while hectic never really felt all that "badass" (and one of them had an awful boss fight).

Speaking of Murderbrawl I hate how it locks the best item behind a choice that kinda makes the mission redundant and I'm not a massive fan of any of the choices in the game.

I also found the game to be completely buggy, in fact; I have encountered more freezes and glitch outs that have forced me to restart my system or if I'm lucky just the mission in my 20 hours of game play than I had it over 40 hours of Skyrim.

Buuut, I do like that respect is now EXP for levels and you can unlock perks, I think the guns and cars feel a lot better to use compared to SR2, and I think the game looks a lot better. And really it's still a total blast to play.

Oh the music selection sucked but it made some real good use of some of the songs.

Also I changed gender to get the achievement but ended up sticking with a chick because female voice 1 is so damn good.

I know I'm wrong but I keep on thinking that Saints Row is somewhat similar(not necessarily a ripoff) to GTA. I mean both games' game style looks similar. It just seems so... GTAish.
But again, I could be wrong.

Yes, the series is inspired by the PS2 era GTA games. It's basically this generations GTA.

I completed Dark souls on Monday. It's the first game in years where i've completed it and gone straight back into it again for another playthrough. I bet I have about 20 games now that are piled up waiting to be played but I just don't feel ready to stop playing this yet.

Finished Transformers: War for Cybertron a couple of days ago. It made me get int Transformers again after the debacle surrounding the "Bayformers" movies. It's a supposed reboot the whole franchise, but actual has cues from past arcs and such.

Uncharted 3, this chapter seemed a lot shorter to me than the previous 2 installments. i did like it, gave a small glimpse in to drakes childhood and tie ins to the other characters, shows the understanding of a true bond between them.

Graphics are good but as always some parts have to be played in the dark to see what your doing and direction to go, sound is great as always especially on surround system, as for the control system that had a lot of fans up in the air about the change i played through most of it on default and i didnt notice much different in the gameplay and movements

A few days ago, I beat Limbo. A very nice puzzle game. It's a very... Unique type of game too.

I found Limbo to be painfully boring. Too much time trying to be an artsy experience than an actual fun game.
