I don't see what the big deal with the logo, either. It's a nice homage to the Sonic 2 logo screen. And yet, people online are saying the "lazyness of the logo is how the actual game is gonna be."
That or SEGA's "trolling" us....

Wait, wait, wait; people are complaining that it's too similar to the Sonic logo?mtwinny wrote:I don't see what the big deal with the logo, either. It's a nice homage to the Sonic 2 logo screen. And yet, people online are saying the "lazyness of the logo is how the actual game is gonna be."

Aren't these the same people who complains that Sonic 4-1 wasn't similar enough to the Mega Drive games?
Depends on what you mean, the game didn't play like the original Sonic games but the levels didn't show a shred of original design. People could be worried that the levels are just going to be bad versions of old levels again.Kaito-kun wrote:Wait, wait, wait; people are complaining that it's too similar to the Sonic logo?

Also it's just lazy really.
I see that the overblown hype train people put way too much stock in regarding Episode 2 has crashed and burned for most, just by the new logo alone. Not only that, it's not just how the logo is just an updated Sonic 2 logo, it's probably how there's nothing new about it from Episode 1's, just adding Tails.
Sure, some call it lazy, but what I've read, it's that the game itself in terms of physics and graphical design won't change because of how lazy the logo looks....seriously, it's out there.
That, and/or people are essentially b*itching about waiting a hour into a conference that highlights electronics and that only (With other small tibits of tech) only for a game logo. Granted, expecting anything more than that amazes me greatly.
Another thing, at that confernce, I believed I heard that Episode 2 will run on a new physics engine that was announced at the same show...forgot its name....
SEGA's just rolling the troll-train.

Also what? SEGA aren't even at CES. I'm pretty sure the logo was just dumped on their blog.
Right about that one, and yes it's insane when the newest thing to judge a new game is by the logo for it alone. What a world we live in huh?

I mean FFS its a logo not box art x_x And isnt Sonic 4 meant to be reminiscent of the old sonic games? Its only fitting if the logo reminds you of the old school one.
Well for some...it's not about the logo in of itself, but how SEGA's 'marketing straegy' with Episode 2 is rubbing those same people the wrong way like it did with Epsode 1
I like the Sonic series; I just find it silly how people within said series(fanbase) can be so jaded when it comes to things like this. And I mean REALLY jaded.
