uhmmm no? Even if they do do a physical release each game will be separate, like any other disc based collection.

Super Emeralds? lol...that's a lost piece of Sonic gaming history that I believe Sonic Team won't implement again.

This. Each game is seperate in its own right.

Suppose you're right.

I guess that was just my inner kid Sonic fan, wishing that those things were true.

Well, if episode 1 and 2 are anything to go by then episode 3 will surely take something from Sonic 3. Though really the super emeralds only worked because Sonic 3&K was the length of two games, whereas the episodes aren't even the length of one.

Blue Spheres will be an obvious guess then.
Though since in Episode 1 they took the Sonic 2 final boss, will Episode II just be Metal Sonic or another big Eggman mech?

I for one am loving the new screens, especially the snow level as they're normally a favourite of mine in various games.

So looking at the achievement list on Sonic Retro, a few zone names are given away and how many times Metal appears in the game.

The red rings I'm going to take a stab at and say they'll be like Chao hunting from Sonic Advance 3. I just can't think of any other purpose for them given that they were used to unlock art, music ect in Generations and that won't be happening in this game.

Sphere special is almost a given which I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out as it's the only special stage I like don't hate.

The other element will likely be Knuckles though.

edit: on the subject of red rings; ehhh, I don't really care for them, they're something to go for for sure but they come off as being there to artificially lengthen the game.

I think the same about the those special stages.

Most likely, though whether they'll have split paths like S&K is another guess.

if i remember right, the vita can play some of the PS3 and PSP games already or atleast planned to play PS3 games, so there is a chance that 4.2 will be playable on vita.

as long as ep. 3's special stage isnt like sonic advanced 2 ill be fairly happy
