Nah I thought it looked bad as well. At least we know it won't get another series!Kaito-kun wrote:It feels like I'm the only person on the internet who saw the premise of Highschool of the Dead (Zombies and fanservice) and thought "Well that looks terrible."
Anime & Manga Discussion
Been trying to catch up with the One Piece anime, not quite there yet but I'm 5 episodes away from the timeskip!

So I watched the first episode and man... its so... bloody. It's rather disturbing. I'm not a big fan of zombie apocalypse things. Yet, I think I may continue watching... though it may be more because of the fanservice and also seeing how the story will develope. The brutality though... wooo... I'm not a big fan of smashing heads and Blood just rushing out of a person's arm. That's probably why I don't like watching Death Note.
But at least, it did its job of making me forget about Gurren Lagann. I was really annoyed after the ending but watching HOTD really helped. It's true what they say. If you want to forget about something that disturbs you, just watching something more disturbing.

So I've watched the first 2 episodes by now... and again, it's VERY bloody.
But ya know? Even though I'm saying that, for some reason, I'm really hooked into it. I don't know whether it is the epic fanservice or the amazing Main Theme, but I just can't wait until I watch the next episode. I always find myself humming or whistling the song while remembering the epic intro. I know I haven't watched more then 2 episodes but I just... like it. Maybe I'm turning brutal? Meh.

If that's the reason you've not been watching Death Note, then..... I can't make sense of that part of the comment. Death Note being bloody? very rarely. A lot less blood filled than most other 15 certificate anime. Also on your high school of the dead opinion, it's the same as how I felt when first watching it. By the end of the 12 episodes, I didn't know what to make of the series.Quills on Wheels wrote:I'm not a big fan of smashing heads and Blood just rushing out of a person's arm. On a seperate topic, I've recently brought Dragonball Z Volume 1.

It's not just that I think it's sorta bloody. Death Note just seems insane to me. It's one of those mind game animes I don't like. It's mad!
I mean, just look at this!!!

This has got to be the most spastic opening for an anime there is. It's psycho! watching that opening made my head explode.
EDIT: Fuuuuuuck! Is this even a proper song?

So the manga doesn't focus on boobs and zombies?Dr Shaneman wrote:If you only looked at the anime, then yes.
Well yeah, it gives you the song title and artist at 0:52. It's "What's up people?!" by Maximum the Hormone.Quills on Wheels wrote:EDIT: Fuuuuuuck! Is this even a proper song?
Yeah. Luckily I never bothered with the Death Note anime. I had the franchise ruined for me long before the anime came about.Reknoc wrote:looooool I forgot how bad Death Notes OP 2 was. What a totally unfitting OP.
