The 5 years (i checked up on dates, 4/01/07 the initial idea was conceived on /a/) was due to time constraints, most, if not all the crew were either in full time work, college or school, naturally there we're a few disagreements along the way but nothing serious that cut everyone off and stopped anything being implemented
The art revision was down to the artist herself, she was very young when she started (13 or something) and she grew both physically and mentally, thus her perception of the characters grew as she did (Also think along as to how many scenes are ingame, sure they use a lot of the same elements but those aren't going to drawm themselves)
Then some of the stories had to be changed as some routes were left unfinished by people who went awol/left the project
As for the OST, i can't see a thing on that being a hold up, the composer was there from Summer 07

A keylogger has been found within the Sonic 2 HD Demo, so people are being advised to remove it fully. More details here: http://www.radiosega.net/news/sega/2012 ... game-demo/

I think people should read this:

Sounds like a lot was going on behind the scenes

It's actually really sad to have read about this, especially as those who are still working on Sonic 2 HD currently seem oblivious to this keylogger stuff that's happened.
I've followed Sonic 2 HD pretty much since the day it was launched, but now I think I'll just consign it to the Bin of Wasted Promise. Shame.

Yeah the devs pretty much shot themselves in the foot since this happened...and I don't think that bullet will lodge itself out anytime soon....As for the beta? Given the situation, I'll pass...Gavvie wrote:It's actually really sad to have read about this, especially as those who are still working on Sonic 2 HD currently seem oblivious to this keylogger stuff that's happened.I've followed Sonic 2 HD pretty much since the day it was launched, but now I think I'll just consign it to the Bin of Wasted Promise.
