That's exaclty what I might expect of the guy myself! Tho that might leave the theme song.....Cash Cash probably...Shaddix_Croft wrote:ASRT music will be filled with samples of HOT HOT HOT *FLEES*
I've never been a massive fan of Naganuma (Although he has good tracks in parts of the Sonic Rush OST) but I don't feel he's suitable for the music in this game (besides the Jet Set Radio levels duhh!) but I feel IMHO he's not needed for this game, Richard has done many great music for Racing games in the past (Forza 4 being the latest) so I trust he'll make great music like he did in first ASR game (DAT MENU MUSICS!) so MOAR RICHARD PLOX!

I don't get that. They did the same thing with the american version of the mega drive collection and called it the sonic collection. Do they really think sonic is a bigger brand than sega? They must seriously think their name has been tarnished if sonic, of all the abused company mascots, still holds more consumer trust.
Tic Tac, sir?

I suppose it all boils down to who they're trying to market it towards: If it's for kids then Sonic is the more familiar brand because, well, he's a cartoon hedgehog who tried to act cool, which is easier to sell to kids. However, if it was aimed at older generations then the SEGA branding would work better as SEGA could use nostaliga to sell.Killer French Bread wrote:They must seriously think their name has been tarnished if sonic, of all the abused company mascots, still holds more consumer trust.
For the Mega Drive collection the EU method of marketing it as SEGA rather than Sonic was probably the right choice, however, for this game the Sonic branding might be better if they want to sell to kids - even if it isn't my personal preference.
Sounds about right. Still however, pretty sad how SEGA themselves believe their own mascot has more name value over their actual name. But in their postition right now, they are desperate to make a profit. And what better way than the Sonic name.Kaito-kun wrote:I suppose it all boils down to who they're trying to market it towards: If it's for kids then Sonic is the more familiar brand because, well, he's a cartoon hedgehog who tried to act cool, which is easier to sell to kids. Not tarnished, just forgotten. SEGA aren't really all that relevant nowadays.Killer French Bread wrote:I don't get that.
