Because a new console is a waste of SEGA's time and money. One of which they don't have.

Surely a new console is the last thing SEGA wants to do. If they did, then needless to say, SEGA would not exist today.

It's the last thing they'll
never do; SEGA isn't into the hardware business anymore.

In my opinion, if they get wealthy once again (If ) Then they might get again into console business and hopefully learn from their old mistakes!

I very much doubt it. SEGA are a video games company, much like Nintendo are, and you can quite clearly see how the changing market is affecting Nintendo at this present moment in time.
IF SEGA were to go back into the market, it would be to compete with the casual audience, which I reckon Nintendo and the mobile sector have got wrapped up quite nicely.
