I think this is a great thing SEGA's doing, on top of that all the partnerships they're doing at the moment, well not sure about the Hello Kitty tho.

SEGA's New Strategy Appears To Be Beneficial, For Now
Personally I'm happy for Hayes's new job and how he managed to keep SEGA away from sheer disappoint for as long he was the boss. As for the second link there, I hope in the future they'll keep making retail games.
