I was hoping for an Ecco cameo in it but haven't seen one so I want this to happen! Streets of Rage would be good too :D

In all honestly, if that was gonna happen...It would of happened already.

Yeah true. The boats take time getting use to anyway. I'm good with them thanks to the Time Trial Ghosts x.x

So yeah - possibly not brand new courses, but maybe returning favourites from the first game. We'll see.
I asked them about this, but again, I was told it'll take 4 months overall on tracks (even old ones).

I wish they did something with them also, but I won't hold my breath.

So I woke up this morning and had an epiphany. This relates that that character poll we were discussing before.

To put it simply my epiphany went something like this: "Anyone who says Miku Hatsune can't be included as a DLC due to licensing issues (including myself) is a God-damn moron."

Now, there are of course other reasons why she can't be a DLC character (the obvious one being her niche popularity in the West) but license issues is not an excuse: Let's face it, SEGA have already licensed other non-SEGA characters and properties for this game; these include Wreck-It Ralph, Danica Patrick & the F-12 Tomcat, and it's not like SEGA have struggled to get the Miku license in the past: SEGA have released at least 6 Miku games and she's currently making cameos in other SEGA properties such as Yakuza 5.

Besides, it's not like the Miku license is a difficult thing for anyone to get in Japan. Walking around Akiba you see licensed Vocaloid goods all over the place: Model Cars with Miku decals, bottles of flavoured water, gashapon prizes, etc.

It's not Japan where licensing would be an issue.

I can't think of many other companies that own the Vocaloid/Miku Hatsune license outside of Japan.

There aren't. That's why SEGA would have to pay extra to license it overseas.

Ah, a fair point...Still, they were happy to pay to license Danica, Ralph and the F-12 Tomcat for overseas markets.

I still doubt the Miku DLC would ever happen: I'm just mulling over the arguments.

I suppose another interesting thought to have. I'd imagine the amount of votes Miku got in the petition would like be a pretty good indicator as to how many people would actually buy Miku DLC.

With the others I'd say they probably expected the games sales to cover for any licensing fees, for Miku it'd only be through DLC sales.

edit: media creates is up and I thought this game must have bombed hard in Japan, but it's not even released there and there's no release information for the previous game either. So... yea guess there'd be no reason for them to waste money on licensing Miku!
