Yeah, there's more to this than touch the screen to perform the action. I didn't know these kind of patent existed in videogames. To me it seemed like a coincidence that they could "replicate" the mechanism.

For what I've read, similar to what Bisylizzie said, looks like they did infringed it. I wonder where this will end.

So this deals with a European football game? For 900 yen. Best obtain what they can out of this I suppose.

Yea Level-5 do seem to have infringed it so they'll probably pay up, but its probably not a problem for them.

I do like how SEGA didn't take action after the first game came out, and instead waited for it to be a massive successful franchise!

Probably would have been smarter to bring it up earlier and hope for royalties for any future games. Franchise still seems to be pretty strong but level-5 (hino in particular (Gundam age lol)) have not been so hot lately.

Iiiiiiinteresting. SEGA seemed to have a case here so I'm surprised Level-5 are fighting back. Did Ni no Bomba hurt them that bad?

May lead into court eh? Maybe this is not so small of a issue for Level-5 after all. Interesting to see how this will turn out in SEGA's defense.
