"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness"
It was a fun journey and thank you for having me.
So I continued to work on my fan character's picture on my tablet. Here's the final-ish draft, though I will be changing some things to the final version.
I agree, Bluepuyo's parrot drawing looks so detailed for a sketch. I am no realistic artist, but man I wish I had the skills and patience to draw something like that sometime.
I used to sketch myself, as was decent at it, but I find digitising artwork much easier to work with...I can even create a recolour if I wanted to (I do this purly for Andy Warhol Pop Art since I love the style).
So. Recently discovered the beauty of layers and have been using them to color strips and concept art from my webcomic. May as well kick off my membership here by showing a piece I selected more or less at random:
The attachment Bazooka.jpg is no longer available
Dylan "Bazooka" Williams is one of the members of the South Island Freedom Fighters cell. He is known for his great strength, but even more for some of his technical expertise. Despite his physical strength he's very pacifistic, and prefers to spend his time in his laboratory developing technologies for resistance forces. He earned his nickname from his signature rocket launcher, which is normally used to fire non-lethal projectiles.
Just a piece of concept art I did for the comic; I needed to get a good idea what most of the protagonists would look like before they were introduced of course. All South Island Freedom Fighters take their appearance from other characters in pop culture - Bazooka's inspired by characters from the Crash Bandicoot franchise.
