Manga UK have said that it's not the final cover art.Reknoc wrote:Cover art is so awful, urgh its's vomit inducing.
But you're right, the art in earlier episodes hasn't aged well. I think it was during the Davy Black Fight when the upgrade occurred.Reknoc wrote:The anime art in One Piece is revolting and doesn't really get any better until like Water 7 which is around the 300s.
I'm not expecting much different considering this http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/8 ... A1500_.jpg is the US cover.Kaito-kun wrote:Manga UK have said that it's not the final cover art.
Well characters were always ugly in the anime, the only thing I miss from the old stuff is the washed out backgrounds they had. Could have been Davy Back Fight but that arc is awful so I just consider it Water 7 (the only good bit pretty much leads on straight to Water 7/Enies Lobby anyway)Kaito-kun wrote:But you're right, the art in earlier episodes hasn't aged well. Manga of the Week
Shinkgeki no Kyojin aka Advance of the Giants aka Attack on Titan

Author/Artist: ISAYAMA Hajime
Status: Ongoing
Updates: Monthly
Licensed: Yes (3 vol. out)
The art starts off not amazing and only really improves minorly, however the style is perfect for the theme and setting. Humans look worn and wary, and the titans look horrific.
The series is really popular due to pretty much just word of mouth and it deserves it. It's exciting to read and experience each new event unfold.

Shingeki is a grim manga. Indeed, if you're after a nice feel good series to read then I wouldn't recommend this. Very rarely does anything go right, and even if its looks like its about to something will throw a spanner in the works.Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as one of the city walls is damaged by a 60 meter giant causing a breach in the wall. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as Eren's mother is eaten alive.Unable to save her , Eren vows that he will wipe out every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.
