Sega should sort the controls for the Special stage out. You have no control over sonic at all. Its all bout luck with where he lands. Also LLZ Act 2 was way to easy. It was a case of holding your iDevice to one side and jumping when neccsary.

SEGA did say you only control the stage, not Sonic. so, yeah, it's all about where he'll land. And if the LLZ Act 2 was on consoles, it would be harder to do so, as the timing would be necessary to jump and press RB, for example.

Meh. If you can do it with LocoRoco on the PSP, you can do it with Sonic 4 on consoles.

GameRadar's Justin Towell also gave it a 9/10, which is awesome too. He even did SHZ1 in 0:40:79.

Holy pretzels, I need to get a faster time when it hits tomorrow on PSN.

Well i've played through all of Splash hill and the casino zone and I just did the first act of the Labyrinth one. Really enjoyin it so far. There actually usin the homing attack to quite good effect, using it to actually get you to higher pathways and secret places really well. The only thing im unsure of like alot of reviews have been saying is the music. It's not bad per say it's just nowhere near as catchy as the old tunes.

Interestingly, certainly in the context of tonight's show (
Plug
The Sonic Jukebox, playing the soundtrack of Sonic 4: Episode I and more tonight from 9pm UK time!
) it seems that the music is different/improved in the console version over the iOS version.

I assume that the music we have to play tonight is from the iOS version, as this was originally the version for all platforms, but from the one's I've heard so far on YouTube (the game is downloaded at home ready to play when I get home from work), the tweaks in the music sound pretty good and I can't wait to hear them properly at home later!

We'll have to re-tag the music on the playlist to be the iOS version, and add the console version tracks as soon as they become available.

Played through to the last boss, really liking the variation between the acts, like the card level in the Casino one, and the torch one on the Labyrinth level. I think the music is all right.

I'll post more thoughts later ^_^

And SEGA will love to see you highlighting the two levels they changed/added after they delayed the game!

After playing the horrendous score attack table that is Casino Street Act 2 on the iOS version, I've very much looking forward to playing the awesome looking cards level on the 360. Just a few more hours to go now for me....

So the music is different in the console versions? I'm gonna have to hear the console soundtrack before I carry on with my Segamedia blog lol...
