Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Obviously doing a sequel to the not so bad game (I personally enjoyed it once I gave it a chance), and releasing on the 3DS also helps. But mostly the fact that the cartoon will be airing worldwide by the time this game gets released will probably help increase sales numbers.

Said in tweets the day it was announced so I'll repeat those words here, with some additional wording. While it's being called a sequel, I'm pointing towards it being a sequel to Shattered Crystal, due to Sanzaru Games being the developers. It's also going to be based on the cartoon instead, which is a good move seeing as though the cartoon itself is "going strong." Although I'm thinking SEGA is saying so based on its Cartoon Network run here in the States (Still on a "summer hiatus", still with some unaired episodes, and still at 7am Saturdays/6:30am Sundays, I like to mention).

Shattered Crystal didn't receive as much flak as Rise of Lyric but was lumped with the latter anyway. The former was critised for its heavy use of exploration, making levels a chore to get through. SEGA said that they taken the responses and feedback culled from peoples after S.C. and are working with Sanzaru to make the levels more streamlined as a result. (Linear paths, exploration above and below).

Sanzaru isn't that bad of a developer right? Its first Sonic Boom game was also their 1st time with the spin-off. I read they didn't have much development time with S.C. either. Maybe this time SEGA will give them as much time needed to correct the wrongs from the last game. Hell, I'm more welcomed to Sanzaru than Big Red Button on making any video games, for SEGA or not.

In the end, I'm reserving judgment until I have played the game myself. If there a demo for it, then I'll play it and see if those wrongs be right. If not, then I'll simply won't bother with the game.

Sanzaru aren't a bad developer, they made the Sly Cooper game on PS3, however I have very little faith in them for this sequel as the first game wasn't very good. Also Sonic Boom hasnt even aired in the UK yet (As far as I know, the show is pants).

May I also say it's worth pointing out that Nintendo was actually forced to remove the Like/dislike bar on the trailer video because there were only around roughly a 1000 likes vs 25,000 dislikes! that's a huge amount of dislikes! That just shows how much even fans aren't supporting this game. At least some people still had the nerve to call '06 "decent" or "has potential" but this game is obviously getting no love at all. I mean, look at this!

From what I read in a lot of discussions, fans are mainly saying that they feel betrayed and trolled because it seems obvious that Sonic Boom IS becoming the new Sonic and that they demand the 2016 Sonic game. Some fans are annoyed at this interview. For example the Producer calls Boom Sonic "Modern Sonic" and Actual Sonic "Legacy Sonic" and this has led a bunch of other fans to say that they're considering Actual Sonic now as a relic of the past and are trying to push the Boom series despite them having said before that this was mainly going to be a "Spin off" title.

EDIT: Also, having given all this shit to Sonic Boom 2, I would also say that as of right now, the only thing I liked was the trailer song hahaha. But yeah, it's catchy.

Event with the good sides of the Sonic Boom sub-franchises (TV,Comics and Merchandising), people that push the dislike button in that video follow the now new trend of the "Boom garbage and economical failure" that media all around published.

Yeah, those games were released in that state and things get worse from the get go, but you know "There is no big deal after all".

They repeat and repeat that those are not for long-time fans. They are for children. We still get ST Sonic Games.
If they did it wrong, well blame them and also the company that push the release day.

Now, let me remind you something: this 3 exclusive game deal with Nintendo affected those releases but in the benefits, Sega didn't lose any money whatsoever. Why?Because Nintendo paid them all (development). That's why they were entirely distributed in Europe by them.

This next Rio 2016 Olympics game? Nintendo paid that too. This game? Maybe. That's also why Sega are willing to release this game. There is no financial trouble.
Don't think this is Bad like most people with hateful enthusiasm think it is.
In fact, the developer knows how to do a better game and this good PR that Aaron is putting is a sign of that.

Is a fact that everything wrong or bad with Sonic is a trend that get attention. Just look 06, the game has almost 10 years and people point that every time even with the goods between this years.

How did I think this game is no problem? Simple, just look how an exclusive for certain Console was obtained. It is not that troublesome to understand and also you will see things from another perspective.

Someone refresh my memory:

Was the supposed $20 million for this go into the whole initiative, or the first two games?
