Anyway, let's get this right off the bat - Project 7. Yes, I said a year ago that it would be released this year. At least, I vaguely recall saying something along those lines. As it stands, Project 7 has no set release date. All being well, it'll be around next year, but I do need to talk to Mark about it. Be patient, it's still going to be worth the wait.
That's not to say 2010 didn't see the release of a couple of Project 7 features to make up for the lack of new website, one bigger than the other. We'll get to those in a few, but let's start from the beginning, shall we?
March 11th saw the launch of the RadioSEGA Blog, a vessel for the latest site news. Originally a feature of RadioSEGA "6.5", the delay in P7 brought this feature out of the scrapyard so we could keep you all up to date in the latest happenings. There was another reason, however...
One day later (that's March 12th), ResidentSD officially launched RadioSEGA LiVE! with SEGA AGES. Yeah, that's one of the P7 features. 2010 saw the first ever live broadcasts aired on the radio stream. Other shows followed suit as well. March 13 saw the first episode of Saturday Night SEGA, hosted by me. April 18 saw FastFeet debut the second season of his podcast, now titled FastFeet's FoneMix, exclusively on RadioSEGA.
There were a couple of other shows as well. SJ hosted The SEGA Jukebox from June 8th, and we also hosted AAUK's Radio Redux alongside SEGA:Sonic Radio, making RR not only the first Sonic podcast, but the first to be aired on two different radio stations. It wasn't the last, however. Let's not forget ForeverSonic's Random Hour, which only settled into a recurring timeslot not too long ago.
Everything seemed to be going from strength to strength, but the RadioSEGA community were saddened ever so slightly on July 13th with the announcement that SegaMark was stepping down. I say ever so slightly, because on the same day, I announced that I was taking over

Less than a week later (July 19th), RadioSEGA made the pretty big announcement that we'd be DJing Summer of Sonic. Another six days later (July 25th), the second big SoS announcement popped up - We'd be broadcasting the event alongside SSR. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to do that in the end, but still, it was going to happen.
August 17th saw the second, smaller Project 7 announcement, as we started to make tracks towards creating a Review Team, and might I say that we've got an amazing team. Many thanks to Alientropy, CapnCloudchaser, Reknoc, Cobra!, and Page for their contributions.
October 29th saw the first video uploaded to our YouTube channel, and the first video review went up on December 23rd. In between those, however, RadioSEGA's Random Hour was the first ever guest show on SSR's Project 24.
Let's just quickly go through some stats before I outline what's happening in 2011. This year has seen 1037 new registrations, although most of those are more than likely ghost accounts for the purposes of spamming on the forums, or requesting music on the stream. December 23rd was the biggest posting day of the year, with 213 made, whilst May 19th was the quietest, with only 10 being made. Aand finally, June 27th was the biggest day for creating new threads, with 18 being made. Quietest? Too many to list, with a huge total of ZERO.

OK, so 2011. What's coming up? Well, here's some announcements for you - Game of the Month is coming back. Expect the first title to be announced next week. I'm even going to see if we can edit the Game of the Month page on the website. The games will be chosen from either a member of the Review Team, or the Forum Staff. Whisper this, but we'll also be updating monthly, as you should do with something of that ilk. Oh yeah, and this was to be a feature that returned with Project 7, but you're getting it early.
On the RadioSEGA LiVE! front, there's a couple of things I'm working on that should hopefully see fruition sometime soon. Can't say too much about them, obviously, but you'll be happy with what's going on. Trust me.
We're also getting a new t-shirt! After that limited run job that happened back in time for Summer of Sonic 2009, I've taken it upon myself to fund a new design. Honestly, it's probably going to cost upwards of £150. Anyway, the commission has been paid for, and we're hoping to have those ready in time for Summer of Sonic 2011.
Speaking of Summer of Sonic 2011, I should be DJing it again, so please come say hi. Not many people did last year, although we did end up having Foreversonic sat in the booth with us, taking up all the space with his guitar!
In closing, 2010 has been a progression for us, but possibly not as much as it looked like it was going to be. However, we'll be pulling out the stops to make 2011 a whole lot better. As always however, we'd be nothing without you guys.
Have a Happy New Year everybody!
