Know of The Sonic Stadium Music Album 2011 and its sequel The Sonic Stadium Music Adventure 2012? Well the site's musical endeavor is back with what may be a fresh new take on proving tunes from the community for the community.
Now called "Sound of The Sonic Stadium 2014," the project, helmed by DJ EAR with blessing from originator VizardJeffhog, seeks to make good promise on the previous projects by rounding up the most talented musicians, remixers and producers from the Sonic scene in the most packed community album yet.
:: DJ EAR :: says that the goal of the album was to “maintain the fun, creative, collaborative spirit of that project [TSSMA] – while building a stable & productive future for our community of fan musicians, producers, and listeners”. Members could submit up to two tracks over a three month period in terms of music, and the more arty members could supply album art, logos or any other visuals to aid the project as well. The album’s theme was centered around the phrase “out of the ashes”.
The "SoTSS14" album includes 30 tracks done by 20 artists totaling roughly two hours of runtime. As with the TSSMA12 album, this one will also have a few SEGA remixes alongside the Sonic ones. Buuuut you can get a little teaser of the album over at its Soundcloud page.
The album is set to release later this month. Let us know what you think of the preview down in the comments below. And keep an eye out on our social media pages, because we might just have something to do with SoTSS14 soon.
