Orchestrated performances just in time for their anniversaries.
SEGA Games Japan and Atlus will be partnering with Games Symphony Japan for a round of symphonic concerts throughout the upcoming Summer season.
The first will be “Game Symphony Japan 17th Concert: SEGA Special 2016” held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space in Japan on July 17th. The Tokyo Chamber Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus and Director Kenichi Shimura will once again perform a bevy of music from the Sonic the Hedgehog and Puyo Puyo series in honor of the two series’ 25th anniversaries. Additional performances from other SEGA series Space Channel 5, Sakura Wars, Shenmue and Daytona USA will also happen. Sonic series’ sound director Jun Senoue, Puyo Puyo series’ producer Hosoyamada Mizu, SEGA music great Takenobu Mitsuyoshi and Space Channel 5’s own Ulala will be the special guests.
The second was announced today with Atlus’ reveal of Persona 5: “Shin Megami Tensei Persona 20th Anniversary Symphonic Concert” will take place in the Tokyo Concert Hall on August 13th. The Tokyo Chamber Orchestra will be on hand as well as Kenichi Shimura again taking the director's role following the Sonic & Puyo concert. No other details are known at this time.

UPDATE:
Further details on the “Shin Megami Tensei Persona 20th Anniversary Symphonic Concert” have come about. Tickets for the event will be available starting May 21st via Japanese sites Ticket Pia and Lawson Ticket. We also know Persona 2-5 as well as Revelations: Persona music will be performed by The Tokyo Chamber Orchestra, as directed by Kenichi Shimura.
