Attention those local folks in the Sheffield, England area! Want to test out SEGA's and Sumo Digital's latest racer? Hit the jump to know how!
This past weekend, the executive producer of Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed, Steve Lycett made a special Twitter announcement in that he is currently looking for people around that area to help give the game a better build, as well as giving feedback over the course of the game's production.
He then went to the SEGA and Sonic Stadium forums, explaining in detail on what to accomplish from the help. He says by doing this, those who volunteer can gain much experience in working with Sumo Digital, and the gaming industry in general. He goes on to say this process will happen during the next two months. During these two months there will be an "open balancing team" done at the studio for the next three weeks.
The goal, according to Lycett, is to look into different gameplay modes (such as multiplayer), and to give the volunteers the benefit of voicing their opinions and, in turn, build foresight into how a game become what it is in its finished state.
“We believe this is a great opportunity for people interested in joining the games industry to see how things are done on the inside, to help shape and improve a game and build their skillset to improve their chances of future employment within the gaming industry,” - Lycett on the benefits on this search.
But not only will you test out Transformed, but SEGA will also accommodate you with reimbursed travel expenses, being you can make it to Sheffield daily and have a form of residency in that area. As for those test times, here they are:
