If you're a subscriber to PlayStation Plus and a fan of SEGA's premier fighting franchise, then this will be welcome news for you!
It's not often that a game has been released on PlayStation Network and then immediately had a 100% discount, but that's exactly what happened this week with SEGA's newest entry into the Virtua Fighter franchise, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.
VF5: Final Showdown is a downloadable entry based on the most recent arcade revision of the game, and would normally set you back £19.99 on PSN. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers can, for this month only, download the game for free. You will, however, need 1.9GB free on your hard drive.
If you don't want to dish out £40 for a 1-year PS+ subscription, but VF5: Final Showdown is a game you're interested in on PS3, you could alternatively take out a 90-day subscription for £11.99 and save yourself £8. However, as you're only able to play the game whilst the subscription is active, this should only be an option if you can't see yourself playing it past the 90 days.
