It's that little rumor that probably no one saw coming, SEGA will make Disney's newest animated star an unlockable playable racer!
UPDATE: There are pictures (like the one below) and video from the reveal, straight from Sonic Boom! The video isn't that much of good quailty due to it being recording from an attendee, but there it is! Thanks to The Sonic Stadium for this find!

ORIGINAL STORY
From the Sonic Boom 2012 event, Rich Moore, the director of Disney's newest upcoming animated flick Wreck-It Ralph, made a surprise appearance at the event. There he made a really big bombshell of an announcement concerning Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed.
Reported by The Los Angeles Times, Moore announced that the titular character of the film, Ralph Reilly will be one of the newest racers to be introduced in the game. This announcement was found near the end of the site's article, where the director was going over the process of creating the movie and working with the gaming companies involved.
There was video of Ralph's gameplay during the announcement, but as now hasn't been shown to the public outside of Sonic Boom. This makes Ralph the second non-SEGA "All-Star" to be unveiled, the first being ex-NASCAR Driver/Go Daddy model Danica Patrick.
When there's any chance of media stemming from this announcement, we'll update when possible.
So, what do you think about Ralph being in the game? Is this a major step up for SEGA doing this? And does this means the "All-Stars" moniker is living to its effect? Let us know in the comments below or in our message boards!
