Ultra Wave

Ultra Wave's Last Ever Show Beginning Of July

All things must come to an end and after having a long hard think about it & discussing it with the RadioSEGA staff as well, I can officially announce that as of the start of July Ultra Wave will be no longer on the airwaves.

Click on the post for more information...

Since the start of the second season I haven't really had much of a drive to do the show mainly because of work and other important things such as moving to my new place etc, but I decided to keep on going thinking that it was just silly little phase and that the feeling would just go away and to also as well entertain you as best as I could. However after doing only a couple of shows and then having to take a month long hiatus due to some situations at work, I honestly thought that this was seriously not fair on me as I really wanted to get on, do the show and have fun but most importantly of all it wasn't fair for you guys as I know some of you were glad to hear UW was back live on the radio, and taking this long hiatus really got me thinking, is it really right to dedicate myself self to do a weekly show when I really only do one or two shows every month/two months and have always been changing or cancelling shows due to situations? (I know everyone has to cancel shows from time to time due to important things, but I've been doing that quite a lot recently and I know and understand that some of you are pretty much getting fed up about it).

After having a long think after my hiatus and everything was back on track at work, I decided to try and at least do a couple of shows to see if I could get my drive back, after finishing episode 5 I was happy and was looking forward to record episode 6 as I was away for the week when E06 was going to be broadcasted, but after getting busy again and having other things on my mind I didn't do it and that dropped me down to a whole new low, I felt like I failed myself and of course failed all of you.

When thinking about it ending the show all together would be a big step forward, don't get me wrong I absolutely 100% loved being a DJ on RadioSEGA and loved talking to you all and giving you shoutouts & playing you awesome music as well, if I didn't like it then I would've given up after my first ever live show. But I just feel maybe it might be best to step down from being a DJ and focus on other things, I'm still going to be a staff memeber on RadioSEGA and am going to be part of the Media Team (so instead of giving my recorded podcasts to the Media staff so they can put it up on RSM, I'm now going to be putting up podcasts on RSM, what a coincidence) & also I'll be doing Let's Plays and maybe some reviews here & there for the RadioSEGA YouTube Channel. So of course I will be still up and around the site and I'm not going to dissapear I mean why would I? I love RadioSEGA this site, it's members and of course it's awesome staff who I proudly call my friends have been a big part of my life when I first found it back in 2010 and I am also proud to call myself a member of this great site & it's community.

So yes Ultra Wave will be saying farewell to the airwaves in early July, the last show I will of course be ending UW in style with a three hour special chock-a-block full of awesome Sonic The Hedgehog remixes made by many amazing musicians, and UW will still be part of Sonic Radio's Fan Music Festival starting at 8AM PST/1PM EST/4PM UK on the 23rd June (I wonder who's Birthday it is on that day HMMMMM???), so be sure to tune into that for 12 hours of awesome Sonic Remixes hosted by 7 well known & amazing DJ's in the Sonic community.....oh and me as well.

I thank you for taking the time to read this and hope that you all can understand why I am ending the show all together, I might be on the airwaves here & there filling in for the other DJ's that can't do future shows for any specific reasons and might be doing little special shows as well, but as for Ultra Wave as much as I loved doing the show I feel the time has come to pull the plug on it.

Sucks that things outside of your control forced you to end Ultra Wave. It was nice having another all-request show after The SEGA Jukebox, except this one was centered on the BLOO BLOR, which was a huge plus. Still it's going to be quite sad to have this show end with these unfortunate circumstances. But it's nice to still have you on board with the staff, given what plans you have when you step down. :) Can't wait for these last two shows. :D
