I remember watching the original Hellsing, it was okay if a little cheaply animated but it got me to check out the manga. I was pretty excited to learn they were redoing Hellsing as a OVA with 1:1 OVA volume to Manga volume. It's still pretty cheaply animated but the source material was so awesome it didn't matter.

Hellsing Alucard > All other Alucards

You can get them for £3 each but I've been a bit weary of actually getting them because there hasn't been a new release since Volume IV.

I dunno, they haven't really used Alucard enough in Castlevania to do him justice. He's a good match I'd say. Just more old fashioned.

castlevania alucard = best old fashioned alucard

Hellsing alucard = best modern alucard...and possibly best helldog?

I've been hearing good graces about Hellsing....now which is preferable first? Manga or anime? I was leaning toward more the manga; read a few chapters from that first.

Doesn't really matter, they're equally as animated. But seriously, as long as it's not Hellsing (TV) you'd be okay. Although, Hellsing Ultimate Vol. 10 (final volume) doesn't have a date yet.

Make sure to watch it in Japanese for glorious Wakamoto though (and no ear stabbingly bad Seras).

Alucard from CV is Dracula's son. Does that mean Alucard from Hellsing is Alucard from Castlevania's father? :B

Also TCB, I've actually never read the manga. I want to though. I LOVED the anime though. Really damn entertaining.

Gonna start watching the all the Digimon series again at some time in my life... I saw a scene where all Digimon characters from previous series were together in Xross Wars.
Something tells me Xross Wars isn't as bad as Frontiers and other crappy ones after Tamers.

10.

Looks like he's now working on a manga called Drifters, it's an alternative history thing apparently. I may check it out.

There's a Devil May Cry anime but I doubt it's any good.
