As I was in SoS, I could try out the game. I don't have the first SASAR game so I can't really make a comparison.
i can say, I was genuine.y impressed. Everything seemed to be responsive and worked preety well. The ground, flying and boat controls felt natural and I could instantly race without any problems. I haven't notice any framerate issues and the charactrs/environent looked colorful and nice.
Superstar "mode" didn't seem to work so can't say about that. I think you can get through coins but also through item hits. What annoyed me is the item chance quota. I mostly got the three snowball item on all positions. I hope this gets a bit tweaked.
So in all, I think it won't disappoint and for me it's a must buy.
