Read on for news regarding tonight's show, the future of SNS, and a brand new show!
Hi there!
It's been a while since my last post, and for that I apologise. I mainly blame it on not being too comfortable with writing long posts on my phone/iPad, as mistakes are made and I'm not always the best at spotting them. Anywho, there's some news bits we need to talk about, so let's get right on with them...
1 - Tonight's show has moved from a live show to a pre-recorded one. Yes, I know this is short notice, but when I announced it last week I'd actually forgotten that I'm out tonight, and this past week has been nothing short of crazy when it comes to how busy things have been.
Fear not, though, as the theme is still the same - we'll be pitting the remixes from our recent 10th Anniversary album (I still hate the name) against the originals in a very special Battle Royale. It's RadioSEGA vs SEGA which, when named like that, probably has Mr Webber & Friends thinking "Hang on, what did we do to upset them...?"
As always, the voting poll will go live after the show has ended, so once I've finished recording, I'll schedule a Tweet to go out to indicate this. Pretty simple stuff.
2 - If you missed the news last week, then I would like to reiterate that Saturday Night SEGA is coming to an end at the end of October. Unlike last time, where I had fallen out of love with it all and...well, you know the story, this time around I'm stopping because Mena and I are expecting our first child in November! YAY! There'll be more news on what I'll be doing to celebrate SNS in the near future.
3 - In place of Saturday Night SEGA, and before I retire as a full time RadioSEGA DJ at the end of December, I'm very happy to announce a new, 8 part pre-recorded series called Generation S. The actual idea of this show is still being formed, but at the very least I want it to be the definitive playlist of SEGA music so, if you only wanted to listen to one show (and why would you, because we have a mostly awesome list of shows to listen to), then it would be this one.
Again, more news nearer the time, as I'm trying to figure out if the idea I've got is one that somebody else is, or will be, already using.
That's all for now - Saturday Night SEGA is back live next Saturday with the results of tonight's Battle Royale, and the May Request Roulette!
