It's not exactly getting my body freezing-wet, but SMD will undergo a cold-water-based special show tomorrow in support of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. It's not just requests you can get involved with this time - read on after the jump...
In response (sort of) to the Sonic Show's Ice Bucket Challenge, I will politely decline getting myself wet and instead focusing more on a themed week based on the idea of getting myself wet. (God, that came out wrong...) The show's aim is to focus on remixes that have some connection to ice, snow, cold temperatures or just plain water - something to cool down after a scorching hot Summer. So in hindsight, it's very similar to Fish Friday but with more bitter temperatures thrown into the mix(er drive).
You can request for tomorrow's show or any future show by one of 5 separate ways - you have my Twitter (include the hashtag #SEGAMixerDrive), a PM on the RadioSEGA Forums, an IRC query if I am around, an email at bev.wooff@gmail.com or by dropping a post on RadioSEGA's Faecbook Page.
In addition, prior to the show's airing I will pledge charitable donations to not only ALSA - the main charity responsible for the Ice Bucket Challenge and research group for Motor Neurone Disease - but also a charity dear to me, the National Autistic Society - which focus on helping improve the lives of people suffering from autism and other related conditions. All donations to either/both of these charities are very welcome! Take note: listeners under 18 should speak to a parent or guardian if they wish to donate as well.
Don't give ALS and Autism the cold stare; just chill out on this week's SEGA Mixer Drive - coming live every Friday night at 9PM UK time (4PM EDT / 1PM PDT / 10PM CET) on RadioSEGA!
Requests between 21st Apr and 27th Apr
