The charitable person that is me is set to add a bit of a humorous spirit to Sega remix coverage tomorrow night, as I go all out and trace the footsteps of everyone's favorite red Echidna for Red Nose Day! Read on after the jump...
Comic Relief was set up in 1985 by UK comedy icons Richard Curtis (Blackadder, Vicar of Dibley, Four Weddings and a Funeral) and Lenny Henry (comedian best known by me for the recent Premier Inn ads) with the aim to bring positive change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people. Every 2 years, the Red Nose Day event brings people together to do silly things while raising money for those worse-off across the UK and Africa - and of all Sega icons, who can be sillier and redder than our main dreadlocked muscle, Knuckles?
For 2 hours tomorrow night, I am bringing you arrangements for stages in which Knuckles has appeared as a playable character, or if not, has had a significant role towards a game's story. You'd be surprised at the kind of history that guy's done, and everything that people had done for him through VGM coverage!
Requests will not be taken for tonight's show, but donations are encouraged at the campaign's Giving Page. All money will be passed directly to the charity, and you can give as little or as much as you'd want. Let's see Knux bust some doors and fumble for Emeralds so starving families don't have to!
Unlike Knuckles you're in for a chuckle, come SEGA Mixer Drive... & Knuckles! SMD is broadcast live every Friday night at 9PM UK time (4PM EST / 1PM PST / 10PM CET) on RadioSEGA!
Requests between 21st Apr and 27th Apr
