To mark the 60th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest and the Grand Final happening on Saturday night, this week's SMD is getting in the mood via a special show focused on arrangers from across the continent... and THEN some. Read on after the jump...
In Season 1, we had a 'Best of British' show during the Summer. Season 2 raised the stakes with towing in arrangers from across Europe, again around the same time. Now, the Euro-bound show has been appropriately timed to mark the cheesiest TV event of the year!
We're still going to be playing incredible Sega arrange tunes regardless of game, artist or style. However, every single artist / group must hail from any of the 40 countries taking part in this year's contest (and yes, that includes Australia!).
Know of any great Euro-centric arrangers or tracks from some of the more memorable ones? Drop me a line by one of five different ways - you have my Twitter (include the hashtag #SEGAMixerDrive), a Private Message on the RadioSEGA Message Boards, a query on the IRC, an email at bev [dot] wooff [at] gmail [dot] com, or sending a post to SMD's Facebook Page. Requests outside of the scope are fine, but they will have to be held for use on a future show.
Cultures of Europe should all be benign - everyone gets 'douze points' on SEGA Mixer Drive! Coming live every Friday night at 9PM UK time (4PM EDT / 1PM PDT / 10PM CET) on RadioSEGA!
Requests between 21st Apr and 27th Apr
